A few years back I went on a trip to Greece
and wanted to share some of the pictures with you
I got to meet family members that I have never seen,
and a country that is truly breathtakingly beautiful!
and a country that is truly breathtakingly beautiful!
These first set of pictures are from the Island of Karpathos.
You sometimes feel that time has stopped in the past,
so much tradition still lives on.
A view of the Karpathian Sea
If you will look close at the below picture, you see a cat on the roof,
and a goat in the shadows of the Church.
A stray dog that followed my Son everywhere!
This is a city on Karpathos called Olympos.
It is isolated from the rest of the Island
you can only get there by boat.
Views of Athens
A line from a traditional Greek song is:
"Many have sung your beauties,
and many more will
they will always have
many praises to tell"
How about you, any far away places you have been?
or maybe a close by place that is near and dear to your heart?
Thanks for stopping by,
Traci
